Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Kellie has had a keen interest in photography since her parents gave her a Kodak Brownie camera for her 10th birthday. After studying photography and spending hours in the darkroom throughout her school years, Kellie went on to become Assistant to David B. Simmonds, an award-winning architectural, urban and industrial landscape photographer.
Kellie travelled extensively for several years and upon her return to Australia completed Advanced Certificate in Media. She trained as a motion picture Colour Timer at Cinevex, a post-production facility in Melbourne, under the guidance of Ian Letcher, a veteran timer in the Australian Film Industry.

Four years later she was recruited by Rainmaker post-production facilities in Vancouver, as the Dailies Timer. While employed at Rainmaker Kellie was able to gain valuable insight into the North American Motion Picture Industry along with developing and enhancing the skills necessary to become an accomplished photographer herself.
Throughout the years Kellie has enjoyed working with the highest caliber of Directors and Directors of Photography, with many of them being great educators, imparting not only a profound amount of knowledge and guidance, but also providing an open creative environment.

Living in the Sea to Sky corridor for 10 years provided a wealth of photographic opportunities and the beauty of the area rekindled Kellie’s passion for still photography. Moving to the Columbia Valley in 2005, she was equally impressed with the amount of available subject matter including the abundance of wildlife. Kellie’s photographs show her unique style of looking at the world through the lens. Her work has appeared and been appreciated in countless newspaper, magazine and real estate publications, on websites and billboards. With sports and action photography becoming a new passion it’s exciting to see what the future holds for this photographer.
